The ideal candidate for this position possesses scientific and professional skills in operations management and logistics, particularly production and inventory management. Additionally, expertise in modeling, optimization and procurement is considered an asset. The candidate is actively engaged in research, has a strong publication record, possesses a good understanding of management and organizations, and has an interest in teaching operations management and logistics.
Candidates for this position must hold a Ph.D. in the relevant field before the start date. As teaching activities are conducted in French, the selected person must be able to teach in French within a maximum period of two years after the start date. Responsibilities include research and teaching of operations management and logistics at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels.
The candidate must:
- Hold a Ph.D. before the start date.
- Demonstrate excellent research ability and research interests compatible with those of the Department of Operations and Decision Systems, and provide a strong publication record and a statement of future research.
- Be capable of teaching at all three levels, supervising doctoral theses, master's theses and essays, participating in industry internships, grant applications, and continuing education activities.
- Be able to teach in French within a maximum period of two years after the start date.
- Demonstrate, during a presentation of their work to department members, the ability to effectively communicate the results of their research in operations management and logistics, explaining their scientific significance and contribution to organizational management.
- Demonstrate, during a presentation to department members, the ability to deliver pedagogically sound teaching in operations management and logistics.
- Have a good understanding of management and organizations.
